• Ali is nominated for two Teen Choice Awards this year. She's nominated for Choice TV Actress: Action Adventure and Choice Movie: Rumble for her fight scene with Beyoncé in Obsessed. Heroes and Obsessed are nominated for Choice TV Show: Action Adventure and Choice Movie: Drama respectively. Vote for Ali and her projects at teenchoiceawards.com. • Paramount Home Entertainment will release a deluxe edition of Varsity Blues on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 15, 2009. Via DVDActive.com: Paramount Home Entertainment has announced new DVD and Blu-ray releases of Varsity Blues which stars James Van Der Beek, Jon Voight, Paul Walker, and Amy Smart. Each will be available to own from the 15th September. Extras will include commentary with Director Brian Robbins and Producers Tova Laiter and Mike Tollin, a Football is a Way of Life: The Making of Varsity Blues featurette, deleted scenes, an Ali Larter Audition, additional features ("Two-A-Days the Ellis Way", "QB Game Analysis", "Billy Bob with No Bacon"), and the theatrical trailer.

OBSESSED DVD & BLU-RAY NEWS

From DVDActive via Jeane comes news about the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Obsessed. They will be released on August 4th. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($28.96) and Blu-ray ($39.95) releases of Obsessed which stars Beyoncé Knowles, Idris Elba, and Ali Larter. Each will be available to own from the 4th August. The only extra material on the DVD will be 3 featurettes ("Girl Fight!", "Playing Together Nicely", "Dressed to Kill"). The Blu-ray release will also include an additional digital copy of the film.

Forum regulars will have noticed that the forum has been cracked. All the boards and posts were deleted. We're starting over from scratch. Jeane has been busy setting up the new boards. No members were lost so feel free to start posting again! If you're having problems with the forum or find yourself banned (we didn't ban you - honest!), please contact us via the cbox, e-mail, the comment section here or if possible, via PM. We also have new mods at the forum: Angel7, subzero76, Spikey and valor95. If you run into any problems and ali rocks!, carolinapanthers or I'm not around, you can now also contact them. Huge thanks to Brandon, Cailla, Jeane, Katya, Mike and Spikey for the wonderful support and all their effort to get the forum up and running again! Hi guys! What a frustrating week it's been! As you may have noticed, we've been having virus problems. If you've read the post below, you know I removed it and had the site restored. Only a few days later, we were targeted again. This time I had more trouble finding the virus, and Google even blocked the site. Luckily, I eventually did find it and removed it and now the site is safe te visit again! I hope you all protect your computers and have anti-virus software installed. If not and you have visited the site this past week, I recommend you download anti-virus software and scan your PC! I'm ready to get back into the swing of things, but I'm starting with a small update today: I've uploaded a scan from a recent issue of Star. Thanks to the lovely Pam! VIEW LARGER VERSION

EDIT: I apologize to everyone who had problems visiting the site these past days. Someone uploaded a virus. We have removed it and had to restore the site to a back-up made last Saturday. I'm reposting the update I had made the following Sunday. Regular updates will resume this weekend. Sorry for the inconvience! /EDIT Uploaded our 65th video to the gallery today! It's a video of Ali's appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly on April 24th to promote Obsessed. If you're also a fan of Neil Patrick Harris you should definitely check it out. He's the guest co-host as Regis was absent. Thanks so much Mandy for the video! DOWNLOAD VIDEO NBC released their fall schedule this week. Heroes will still be aired on Mondays, but has been moved one hour earlier to the 8 PM time slot originally filled by Chuck. NBC has ordered 19 episodes that will air back-to-back without interruptions. Thanks to Jeane for the heads up! I've updated the sidebar a bit, as well as the quotes page. I've changed the images on the biography and facts pages. Check them out!

Finally made screencaps of one of Ali's first movies Giving It Up (also known as Casanova Falling). This also happens to be my least favorite of her movies. It's about a womanizer who sleeps with every woman he sees, but dreams of a woman who loves him and a family. Ali plays his dreamgirl, a bitchy supermodel. Sorry for the lack of updates here this week. It's been a really busy and tiring week for me at work. I will do a decent update here tomorrow (day off - yay!), but for now check out this article from MTV's Splash Page and leave your thoughts about whether or not Ali would've made a good Sue Storm. During a press event for “Obsessed,” the thriller that premiered this weekend featuring Idris Elba, Beyonce and Ali Larter, Splash Page was afforded the chance to play the “What If?” game yet again with a little-known casting decision that could have made a dramatic difference in a well-known film. According to Larter, the blonde “Heroes” star was once up for the role of another super-powered character: Susan Storm in 2005’s “Fantastic Four.” While director Tim Story eventually went with Jessica Alba for the character, Larter had no problem offering up her own thoughts on almost landing the role. “Yeah, I auditioned for it,” Larter told MTV News. “They went with Jessica Alba, which is a totally different thing.” “That’s a big part of this business — you’re only competing against yourself,” added Larter. “If you’re going to go with Jessica Alba for a part, you’re not going to go with someone like me. They’re two totally different things.” However, with Alba’s portrayal of Sue Storm often mentioned as one of the suspect elements of the “Fantastic Four” films, would Larter have been a better choice? Despite portraying a powerful, superhuman character on “Heroes,” Larter confessed to not being very savvy about the comics world. Even so, she immediately name-checked this week’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” as one of the movies she’s looking forward to seeing in the near future. “I enjoy all genres of film,” said Larter, “but I’m excited to see ‘Wolverine.’”
